The Mannerheim Museum's photo and information services are suspended 1.10.2023-31.12.2024 due to renovation of the museum building. Other collection services such as collection loans will also be suspended during this period. Previously agreed loans will be processed as agreed.


Photographic services

A broad photograph collection, which consists of Gustaf Mannerheim’s photo albums and individual photographs, as well as photo donations the museum has received, is a part of the museum’s collections.

 

It is possible to enquire about image files from the material in the museum's collections. An image usage fee is charged for the images. For the rights to publish images belonging to the Mannerheim Museum's image archive, the museums charges 80€ per image (/purpose).

Photographic sets not included in the Mannerheim Museum Photo Archives:

Photographs taken during the Asian expedition 1906—1908 belong to the Finno-Ugrian Society and are stored in the Photo Collections of the Finnish Heritage Agency https://museovirasto.finna.fi/

 

Photographs taken during the Winter War and Continuation War are digitised and are free to use at www.sa-kuva.fi.

 

The Finnish Defence Forces historical photo archives can be viewed at www.sotamuseo.fi/puolustusvoimien-kuva-arkisto. 

 

Information services

The museum offers a wide-ranging information service in relation to Gustaf Mannerheim. In addition, where possible, the museum serves scholars and media representatives in various Mannerheim-related projects.
