![]() | Across Asia from West to East in 1906—1908 One hundred years ago, after having recently returned from the Russo-Japanese war, colonel Mannerheim made a legendary reconnaissance and research expedition across Asia from Samarkand to Peking. The journey, largely conducted on horseback, lasted two years. The goal of the expedition was, in addition to conducting ethnographic and natural science research, to collect military intelligence about China. Price 35 €. |

Infantry General Adolf Ehrnrooth played a major part in preserving the memory and traditions of the Marshal of Finland, and it was at his instigation that the Marshal Mannerheim Commemorative Foundation was founded in 1973, obtaining its initial capital from the funds handed over for this purpose by the delegation appointed to support the erecting of a monument to him in the form of an equestrian statue. 43 pages, price 5 €. |
